Usually, an authentic perfume tester contains the same fragrance as the retail bottle when it is the same product and concentration. A tester describes how a bottle is used or supplied; it is not a guarantee of authenticity. A sample is a small quantity for trying a fragrance, while a full bottle is the regular purchase size. Packaging, storage and the seller still matter.

Be cautious if a seller uses “tester” to explain an unusually low price or makes claims that cannot be verified. Buy from the brand or a seller you trust; a tester label alone does not prove a bottle is genuine.
